Online Soccer Coaching Manual. A comprehensive and very helpful manual created by a dedicated group of soccer coaches designed to assist youth soccer coaches in teaching "the beautiful game" to their players. They have designed the site to be helpful to all coaches, "whether you are an experienced coach looking for new ideas or a brand new coach with no idea where to start."
Coaching 101 - Drills and Activities that work! A listing of creative and fun drills that you can try with your team. The drills themselves are designed in such a way that they can be printed directly from the web, making for easy access to the busy coach on the go!
Footy 4 Kids -- 100% Youth Soccer Coaching Footy4kids is a site full of resources that will help you become a more effective youth soccer (or football, as they call it here) coach... and it won't cost you a penny! There are hundreds of pages of drills, small sided games, articles, practice plans and "the famous footy4kids forums," where you will get quick, friendly advice from experienced youth soccer coaches.
Specific Links for CASL Coaches
Coaching Courses. Michigan Youth Soccer sponsors various licensure courses available to Michigan soccer coaches. This link provides a listing of when courses are offered. Note that the E License is mandatory for CASL coaches within their first year of coaching. This link described when training for the E License is going to be available next.
MSYSA Risk Management Page. The MSYSA Online Risk Management System allows MSYSA team officials, League volunteers and League Board Members to certify online. Every Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager, Trainer, (League) Board Member, and Volunteer must certify for Risk Management.
MSYSA Sanctioned Tournaments. This page has not been updated since 2004, but even with that it still provides a comprehensive listing of the various tournaments that CASL teams may participate in, including links to the sites of those tournaments.
